Behind the scenes at TIBI NYFW with Aveda

Tibi spring17

Hej loves! How are you all? As I’m relaxing from yet another busy week in September – gosh, time flies by so fast, right?! – I still have another backstage report to share with you guys. It’s Tibi SS’17. Which – spoiler! – was the one and only first NYFW show I’ve ever attended. But before the models were walking down the catwalk, they obviously needed to be prepped like true runway queens. This time Aveda Guest Artist Frank Rizzieri was in charge of all the hair. The central theme from Tibi’s collection was leading to what Frank Rizzieri came up with. ‘Elevating the ordinary’ it was. ‘Each piece in the Tibi collection tells a story of detail and old world craftsmanship but in a way that is functional and relevant to our present day lives‘; quoted Tibi designer Amy Smilovic. True to that theme, Frank Rizzieri created a classic low ponytail that was given a modern twist with the addition of belt-buckle ties. Such an inspirational hairstyle to me. I’m SO going to adopt that hair trend this season. As well as the yellow vibes and gorgeous voluminous, feminine silhouettes by the way. Love, love love! How ’bout you? Thanks to Aveda for having me. I had the time of my life! 👯💗
