Review: Phyto Sourcils brow products by Sisley

Sisley phyto sourcils eye brow pencil

Today we’re talking about brows. In the last few years I’ve noticed eye brows became more and more of a thing. It’s an aspect of the face we all pay much attention to these days. And so do I. I love the way a good brow gives your face so much more character. When looking for good brow products, I always look for a product that you can really build up. On a random working day I like to keep my brows very natural, but for a date night I want to make them more prominent.

Recently I discovered that the Phyto Sourcils Design 3-in-1 brow architect pencil by Sisley has everything I need to make my eyebrows stand out in both situations. The result is buildable, from natural to more intense, or even with the ease of redefining the entire eyebrow. Besides that, it’s a true multitasker I’d say. It has 3 specific functions: (1) a taming brush, (2) a triangular tipped eyebrow pencil to precisely redefine, reshape and fill in eyebrows, and (3) an highlighting applicator, to apply that perfect glow under the arch of the eyebrow. The highlighter applicator is totally new for me. I’ve honestly never thought about adding highlighter underneath the eyebrow to up my eyebrow game. But oh my, how I love it! I’m using the Phyto Sourcils Design 3-in-1 brow architect pencil in the color cappuccino by the way. But it comes in more colors, so definitely take a look at the full assortment to pick the color that suits your brow and skin tone best. Another thing I highly like about this product and wanted to share with you guys, is that’s it enriched with acacia wax that softens and protects, as well as camellia oil that nourishes, softens, sets and tames the eyebrows. So a frequent usage of this pencil will keep your brows nourished too. Good to know right!

Together with this pencil, I’ve also recently started using the Phyto Sourcils Fix thickening gel by Sisley. For me both the transparant, as well as the light medium color of this long-lasting eye brow gel have worked very well. The great thing about this product is that you can use it on its own, but it’s also perfect to apply it over the 3-in-1 eyebrow pencil. The latter is actually what I do on a daily basis, I use the Phyto Sourcils Design 3-in-1 brow architect pencil together with the Fix thickening gel. I’ve experienced that this combo reassures me that my brows will stay in place for the whole day. So after I’ve applied the brow pencil, I’ll brush the thickening gel into my brows in an upward motion, this is to define the shape of your eye brows. Once that’s done, I’ll brush into the direction of the hair growth to set and thicken the hairs. I leave it to dry for a couple of seconds and continue with the rest of my daily makeup. Super easy and I just love the long-lasting effect of the two combined.

Overall Rating

Rating: 8,5

Pros: Both of the Sisley brow products mentioned above are rub-proof, allowing the shape of the brows remains impeccable all day long, as well as perfect to build up, from natural to more intense. The highlighting tool of the 3-in-1 brow architect pencil is something you really need in your life, it’s so handy-dandy to travel with as well and just gives the best glow to make your brows stand out even more. Another thing I highly like is the nourishing ingredients of these brow products.

Cons: I’ve not found anything yet that I don’t like about the Phyto Sourcils brow products. I do definitely recommend you to go for the transparant fixing gel and then use it over the eyebrow pencil for a natural and long-lasting effect. The transparant gel will make sure your brows will not get too dark after usage, which happened when I’ve used the colored fixing gel. But this might just be a personal preference.

Repurchase? Yes, I will definitely repurchase the transparant thickening gel, as well as the 3-in-1 brow architect pencil of the Phyto Sourcils brow range. The latter will be a perfect present to that one friend that isn’t into doing her brows yet. Trust me, with this product she’ll most likely get obsessed with shaping and filling in their eyebrows. 😉
