Effortlessly undone hair

Aveda Texture Tonic

It’s no secret that when it comes to hair I like it au natural. That’s just how I roll. The only issue with my natural waves is the lack of texture they have. Often my hair looks pretty lively and bouncy when I leave the house. But when I’m out and about the natural waves disappear and my hair ends up looking lifeless and flat. No wonder this new hair product Aveda recently launched caught my attention. It’s the Aveda Texture Tonic, which is 94% naturally derived from plants, non-petroleum minerals and water. The mix between cane sugar and salt in this product helps to create effortlessly looking tousled texture in your hair with a flexible hold. While leaving the hair touchable and infused with natural shine. So if you’ve ever used a hairspray only to find your hair dry and brittle then this tonic could be set to revolutionize your daily hair routine. Even after a few sprays, my locks were looking and feeling very soft thanks to the key ingredient of magnesium sulfate. Unlike synthetic polymers, magnesium sulfate has large, diffused ions, which give the hair more holding power. So it’s finally time to say goodbye to the lifeless hair I get during the day. Time to share how I’ve been using Aveda’s Texture Tonic as of lately. Bohemian, beachy, natural waves it is.

How I use Aveda’s Texture Tonic

As you can see in this video, I went for a bohemian, wavy hairstyle. Therefore I divided my dry hair into small sections (the smaller the sections the more waves you’ll end up with). As you can see I used my hands to divide my hair into sections. Feel free to use a comb or brush if you want to, that’s totally up to you! So working section by section, spray a little Texture Tonic from the mid-lengths to the ends of each section. And then use your fingers to twist each section from top to bottom. Repeat this process of spraying and twisting, until all your hair is done and then put your head upside down and give it a good toss. Work your fingers into it, from the ends of your hair all the way to the scalp. Thus creating more volume, making you end up with a natural wavy, bohemian hairstyle. You can also use Aveda’s Texture Tonic for creating more texture and volume on certain parts of your hair. This comes in handy if you’re going for an updo for example or if you want a big natural lock on one side of your head, et cetera. A tonic for hairstyles for miles. Just play around with it and have fun along the way, I’d say.
